Hi Justin:

What was Julian's full name??? I ask this as I checked the Ellis Island site and never found one born on or near 1850. I did find a Juliana b. in 1859 but her husband was a different name.

What were their children's names who came with them from Russia??? Were your Schmidt's Lutheran or Mennonite by chance???

When did they come to the US???

I have some Schmidt's living in a village I have or am working on right now from Russia but these would be Lutheran.

Maybe I can help you find them.

Take care.

Brian
