I am researching the Simon Wittenmeyer family of various counties. Simon married Sophia Schmidt/Smith (1823-1901)of Union (now Snyder) County in 1842. She was the daughter of George and Maria (Butterton?) Schmidt. I don't have sufficient data yet to connect them to your family yet. I do know that Anna Rau Wittenmeyer, Simon's mother, was christened in Tohicken Lutheran Church, Bedminster Township, Bucks County PA in 1753. From what I have noticed, families tended to migrate in groups then. Anything sound right?
