My uncle Paul (in the post office) and Bernhard (shoe business) Schmidt lived in Berlin after World War I. The former died in 1956. One of them ? had a son Willi and another had a son Gerhard who went missing at Stalingrad. Are there any relatives remaining in Germany ? I live in Canada and was born there. Meta Schmidt left Berin for America in 1922 and married my father Clemens Hammer.
