My name is Damon C. Schleicher. My family moved to MD about 15 years ago from Long Island, NY. I am just started out on this little venture so all I have is the very basics. I do however feel that we may be able to help each other fil in some gaps as time moves on.
My mother's maiden name is Schleicher. She was begot by Robert Schleicher and Dorthea (origins of family name unknown right now). Robert Schleicher was a resident of Long Island for many years, he was a land owner and a steam fitter. He passed away around 1999-2000.
Unfortunately for me, he seems the only link I have to my family's heritage. I have a few great Uncles I have to look up. Kurt Schleicher in Colorado, and Paul Schleicher where abouts unknown.
I must admit, this is my first day on the job research wise. I do apologize for the incoherency. I guess I only responded to see if you had discovered any releveant information to help me in my search.
I will be going to my mothers this weekend, I will do what I can to get a bit more info out of her. I am certain she has a bit, coffee and cigarettes, sounds like fun.
Again, if you have anything, it would be greatly appreciated.
