Dear Kay,
In an old Schleicher Family Bible, not in my possession, there is an entry for a sibling named Elizebeth born in 1835 in Langsfield, Saxony Germany. There were 2 brothers John Adam and John George, the mothers name was Anna Catherine Schlethweg and she was married to Bernhard Friedrich Anton Schleicher. The family emigrated to the U.S. in May 1849. Could be a link but that is all the information I have.
