just an update. the saldana family comes from my dad's grandmother's side. here's the linkage.
Me (Alex Saldana) -> Verisimo Saldana -> Verisimo Saldana ->Evisa Saldana (my great grandmother). She had a son with Simon Gomez Avila in Panama, but my great grandfather never recognized my grandfather as his son, he kept denying it until his late years, so my grandfather took my great grandmother's name. past Evisa Saldana i dont know where to go, nobody knows her parents' names and i dont know how to find out.
