My fathers mother was a Saldana and we go back to 1795's in Aldama Chihuahua, the lady that put the other posting gave you some good advise.
You can also go to a Mormon famliy history center they are located in most citys, look in the phone book for location they won't do the work for you but they will show you how to to do the research and they can get you death notices and census from all states and years they will also show you how to find your releatives in the immagration files when they crossed over, its not always easy but it can be found if you try
Good luck cousin John Diego Pedro Caldera Navarrette 2nd T added in 1916-1917 at the border
PS My grandmothers name was Maria de Jesus Espinoza/Espinosa Saldana, in Aldama Chihuahua Mexico since 1742 or there abouts ?
