Found out thru a 1930 census on Josefa Ruiz (my great grandmother)was living in Magdalena,NM. Her age is 56 with a estimated Dob of 1874. She was listed as the head of the household. Her race is listed as black.
At the time of this census, she has 8 other members living with her. Manuel Ruiz @ age 30, Josefa C Ruiz (Manuel's wife) @ age 28, Juan (Manuel's brother) @ age 27, Pedro (another brother/My Grandfather)@ 20, Manuel's children; Eligio (son)@ 9 years, Domenico (girl) @ 6 years and Maria (girl) @ 8 years.
Juan had a child by the name of Johnnie @ age 2. Not listed but very sure is another child to Juan named Tommy.
If anyone has a relation that pulls you back to Josefa in N.M. or that will point me into a solid direction please reply.
