I am a descendant of Jose Ruiz born about 1805 in California, married to Isabel born about 1800. I can not find any records farther back than that. A son of Jose was Jose J., then his son was Alejo Ruiz, then his son was Frank Alexander Ruiz, then Charles Ruiz, then me, Casey Ruiz. Can anyone help me out there??? Or does anyone have more correct information regarding this line? Family tradition says that our family line emigrated from Spain to Mexico and then up into California, where we have been for several generations.
