Can we be related? My mom is Ana Martinez Ruiz from Lares. She is now about 75. Her mom died when she was young. My grand dad remarried/ I think. My mom had 12 children by Miguel Velez Martinez from Arecibo.She had a few sisters and step sisters. They remained living in Lares. 1 in particular is Ruperta, she became ill a few years ago and died. I think DIABETES. My grandmothers' name was Demetria Velez. Are you a musician? My granddad was named Martin Ruiz. His nephews were musically inclined. We never met our family from Lares. My mom was not economically able to travel with so many kids. Maybe we are related, maybe not. IT WAS NICE HOPING WE WERE?
