New info!! JOHN RUCH, the wife of Catharine, did NOT die in 1829. I just searched the 1830 York Co PA Manheim twp for 1830 and John was there. His age is right 50-60 and so are the children and his wife. So perhaps the John that died in Heidleberg was our John's father. Also found marriages for several of the children in St Matthews Lutheran Church in Hanover.
