I'm looking for people related to Talford Manus Reeder

I'm trying to find out my paternal ancestry and anyone related to myself. I know the Reeder name is English in origin, and that my great grandfather Talfor Manus Reeder was the son of a John Reeder, which most of my sources say came to America in 1892 from England, however, my family has no actual family tree to support this, all I have is word of mouth, and an online Ellis Island record showing a John Reeder departing from Liverpool, England in 1892. And I do not know if this is the same John Reeder that is my great great grandfather. If there is anyone in the Reeder family that may know the answer please let me know asap.
