Hi Bernie, Samuel Quigley is my great grandfather born 1853, Newcastle, Ontario he had two sisters Mary Jane (Shea) born 1849, Margaret (Carr) born 1849 both in Oshawa. I would like to think there is a connection but I don't think so because there was a large Quigley population in the Oshawa, Whitby and Newcastle area and they moved from Whitby to Toronto where he worked as a shoemaker in both locales. My gggrandfather John Quigley was born in Canada about 1827 at least that is what we have been able to establish. My mom's younger sister who is 85 does not know much about that arm of the family but I will review your information with her just on the chance they may be distant cousins. Now that would really be something.
