Does anyone have anything on this Samuel Phelps? A newspaper report of 11/1874 in Forsyth Co, NC (Clemmonsville) reported that a Samuel Phelps died at age 79 on Oct 23, 1874. "He was a native of Masachusetts and came to that section of the country about 1818. He was probably the oldest Mason in the state, having joined the order in 1816 or 1817"
