Thanks for the info - unfortunately I am no further on with this side of the family.

My guess would be that they are the Padstow branch as there are a great many links with that part of Cornwall. I know that family "history" has it that the Peters were reputed to be a cut above but as you know these things have to be taken with a pinch of salt.

If you have any info on Padstow peters I would love to see it just to look for recurring names etc.
