Well I don't have much - John & Rebecca married 25/9/1854, John died in 1895, Johannesburg, South Africa. By 1881 Rebecca was living by herself at Hillyfield, Linkinhorne. They do not appear to have had any children - probably as John was away for much of his life as a copper miner. It is pretty clear they were dsp. (without issue)

Arthur Peter - I found an Arthur Peter who died in Maitland, South Australia 28 Dec 1885 aged 63. No relatives are recorded but a search of the actual records or the church records may reveal something. I have an Edwards cousin still in Maitland today. (incidentially that is where my Edwards (GGP)& my grandfather was born - ex Luxulyan and Strout - ex Lewannick - Brown/Peter descendants were farming).

There has been various claims to this Artur, but from my research I am sure he is Arthur b1822 the son of Samuel Peter and Ann Sargent. It was theorised he was the one you are referring to.

The BIG Q is what happened to Arthur b 1816 who married Coombe. My theory is he died 1854-1861, and Jemima Coombe remarried to Nicholas. I am not all that happy with that explanation, but will run with it for the present.

It may be these Arthurs have somehow been swapped but I am pretty sure I am right - unless someone has anecdotal / family info, that is what the records appear to reveal.

I have about 500 descendants of Joan Crabb.
