I realize it has been a long time since you posted your message about the Peter(s) family that started out in Amherst Co, VA.
I am a descendant of the same John Peter born abt 1700 in Wales. I also show that many of his descendants traveled to Washington Co, KY; Mercer Co, KY; Garrard Co, KY; Boyle Co, KY; Springfield, Ill and various other places. My direct line stayed in the Amherst Co, VA area and some are still there, having moved back from Lynchburg. Of my direct line, my grandfather was the last to be born in Amherst Co. All of his children were born in Lynchburg, VA. Are you familiar with the area?
