"J. Jacob Peter, the third son of Jacob and Susanna (Rex) Peter, was born December 22, 1777. He cultivated the homestead farm, about one mile east of the Heidelberg church, consisting of 182 acres, deeded to him on May 20, 1803, by his father. He died August 14, 1816. He married Margaretta Moser, daughter of Michael Moser. Issue: Abraham, Daniel, Jonas, Susanna, Elizabeth, Catharine. He married, second, Maria Hunsicker. Issue: Maria, Barbara and Rebecca."
