Joseph Tarpley Peacock married Catherine Prestwood Meredith, (widow of Charles Meredith) on 15 April, 1832. This information is found in the files of the Peacock Association of the South, as researched by John J Pierce, Historian. Not sure if he has any additional information, other than that Joseph was from the line of Levi Peacock of SC, and that line came from NC, the oldest ancestor found in NC was Samuel Peacock I. No proof of where Samuel Peacock originated.
