Dear Frances, I have not had access to internet for a long time, saw your message tonight and burst out laughing since your message is dated May 27 and I was 56 last May 28th - would have been a nice present to find a cousin on my bd! At any rate, how many markers have you done in the FTDNA testing?
My 12 markers have several matches but none for the 25, 37 or 67 panels... so my second question is where do we match and have you locked the possibility of not showing your contact number?
Our earliest ancestor whose name we have in the YDNA line is from late 1700's, who appears as father in the marriages of three sons in 1820's, one of whom marries twice and is our direct ancestor. They are not listed as slaves although E3a* (aka E-M2 or Eb1ba*) is know to be an African Haplogroup. Am interested in your island hopping ancestor! It might be a clue in finding link with you.
If you wish to continue the thread please write to my email directly. Pleased to meet, even if online. Thank you so much for taking the time to write. All my best, Fr. Oquendo
