Hi,
I am in search of family information and need to start asking questions to see if anyone has any info for me or leads..
I saw you post about Laxton familys on genform.
So I am hopeful I will get something with this new information I have now..
I recieved a email not long ago that told me to check it out and they believed this was my family..

LYDIA SIZEMORE and DAVID SMITH are her family:

62 i. JOHN6 SMITH (#402).
63 ii. REBECCA SMITH (#403).
64 iii. RICHARD SMITH (#406).
65 iv. OWEN SMITH (#390) was born 1839.
66 v. DEMPSEY CHARLES SMITH (#391) was born 1842.
67 vi. BENJAMIN SMITH (#392) was born 1843.
He married EMILY. (EMILY is #393.)
68 vii. THOMAS SMITH (#394) was born 1845.

69 viii. POLLY SMITH (#395) was born 1847.
She married ? FARRIS. (? FARRIS is #397.) My GG-Grandfathers name is Andrew Jackson Fares, Phares and also spelled Farris..This is who I have been searching for..She and her parents and siblings just were not there..

70 ix. ELIZABETH SMITH (#396) was born 1849.
She married B.U. MORGAN. (B.U. MORGAN is #398.) He is the son of JONATHAN MORGAN and M. E..
71 x. JAMES EDWARD SMITH (#401) was born 1850.
72 xi. ELIJAH SMITH (#404) was born February 14, 1855.
He married CAROLINA. (CAROLINA is #405.)

Looking more on census I found a 1860 on from Wy, Co Va and it has Mary and James Smith living with a family called Saxton or Laxton, I could not make out the first letter...Looking into this farther, I found that Lydia Sizemore Smith died 13 May 1855 in Wyom. Co., V. and David Smith d.1859 Wyom. Co., V.
So all of the children were put in different homes..Mary and James in this one..

I am looking for anyone that might Have more information on the Saxton or Laxton family and also anyone that might know of this David Smith and Lydia Sizemore family from NC.

Any and all help is Welcome and I thank you.
Sherry
