"Revolutionary war records in New York show a John Laxton and Thomas Laxton fighting in North Carolina."

"Records also show a Thomas Laxton (a soldier) was arrested and fined one shilling for being a rowdy person in North Carolina during the revolutionary war."

I had this listed under information on Thomas Lax, brother of Joel Laxson and John Lax, sons of Timothy b. 1731 and Helen. Timothy being the child of John Guinn Lax b. 1707. John Guinn Lax's father Martin Lax Jr. b. 1672 dropped the "ton" from the name Laxton upon arriving in America with his father Martin Laxton b. 1650 Northamptonshire.

This may not help at all, but then again it might.

-Thomas
