I found your Kistler-Shonting information on WorldConnect and I think I have a little bit of information for you.
I am working on several Mason descendants. Robert/Richard Clinton Mason married Mary Williamson, daughter of Sylvester Williamson, in Franklin Co., OH on 5 June 1899, recorded in Vol. 29 on p. 251. In a later Franklin Co. marriage book, Vol. 35 on p. 157, I found the marriage of Mary Belle Mason, daughter of Sylvester Williamson, once previously married, her married name being Mrs. Clint Mason, to:
Harry C. Shonting, son of Frederick Shonting and mother's maiden name was Kistler. According to the marriage license application he was 25 years of age on the 1 day of July 1903 and was born in Columbus, OH.
I found Harry C. with his mother and brother, Milton, on the 1900 Census and Harry C. on the 1910 Census if you would like that information.
