Jolliff Family Genealogy Forum

I'll be glad to share what I know, which isn't a lot. The Bible records were typewritten by a cousin of my gr-mother's and sent to me in the 1960's. It just says that the bible belonged to a member of the Nightser family (my line) and was published 1795. These and other family records had been compiled by a Wm. Ellsworth Weaver whose mother was Mary Jane Nightser b. 1835. Most of these folks lived in Rock Falls or Morrison, IL. (I add all this to help authenticate the records.)
The only Jolliff's in the bible are the ones I mentioned in my first post. It was written "Arnon" but I assumed it meant "Aaron." Later I discovered the name Arnon is also a biblical name.
These Nightser's were from Morris Co., NJ, and also went to Washington Co.,PA. Jeptha Nightser & Rebecca Mattax were m. in 1816 in bordering Greene Co. PA. but her grandparents are buried in Wash. Co. Nightser's went from there to Morrow Co.,Ohio abt 1821, then to near Morrison, IL abt 1855. Did your family follow this route west from PA? Someone speculated that Jeptha's mother was Sarah Jolliff.
