I am looking for info., on John C. Jackson born 1755 in Amelia Co., VA.. I do not know his parents names. He was a Rev War soldier in the VA Militia Line as a Pvt. 1778 3 mo's; Jan 1, 1781 3 mo's & 3 weeks later for 3 more mo's. He applied for pension Apr 20, 1833 in Franklin Co., KY where he live at age 75 years. His application does not name his children or wife. There is a name of Francis Jackson on his appt., but does not say who he or she is. Source: Hertiage Quest Archives for Rev War on line via local libraies using your library card with bar code.
I belive this John C. Jackson may be the father to Elizabeth Jackson my 3rd greatgrandmother. She married Vachel Warfteld. 1850 lived in Franklin Co.. They had 12 children. Pleas post here so all Jackson researchers can view. Thank you for your time.
