Emil SCHMIDLEN was born 1876 in Switzerland. His mother’s name was Julia. He emigrated to the USA in 1897 and became a naturalized citizen in 1888.
His first marriage was to Helen. Helen was born 1881 in New Jersey, USA and died between 1910-12.
His second marriage was to Amelia VERHULST. Alberta was born 1896 in New Jersey, USA and died after 1920.
In 1930, the family was living in Clifton, Passaic, New Jersey, USA. Emil’s occupation in 1930 was commercial beverage salesman.
Emil and Amelia had 2 children:
Raymond, born 16 Aug 1912 in New Jersey and died 22 Aug 1989.
Dorothy, born 1921 New Jersey; married Charles HUNZINKER 1942 in New Jersey
