Those reearching Hunsinger in Moore and Polk Cos., N. Car. are desc. from Christopher and Susan (Brewster). Christopher b. c. 1788 s/o Michael and Catherine (LEITNER), according to the late Melvin Hunsinger of Belmont, N. Car. Michael was the immigrant who went from Holland to Charleston, S. Car. 1766, then to Moore Co. (formed in 1784 from Cumberland Co.) in 1770.

The The Gaston Co. Pub. Lib., Gastonia, N. Car. . has his notes, with a great deal of info on Christopher's descs.

The other 2 lines from N. Car. :

Mathias (c.1752-1805)and Mary (Gears) Hunsinger of Rowan Co., N.Car., Muhlenbberg Co., Ky. and White Co., Ill.

Jacob (1762-1844) and Mary (BURKETT) Hunsinger of Rowan, Wilkes and Ashe Cos., N. Car. , Ohio and Ind.

Mathias and Jacob were brothers; Melvin thought Mathias and Jacob were sons of Michael by his 1st. wife; it's much more likley that they were Michael's younger brothers.
