I am looking for HARDY before 1720 and cannot connect these names that have been handed down thru a family genealogy written in 1898. As you have been researching Hardys's for quite awhile perhaps you may be able to help me - I am not "sure" of anything until I see some confirmation of some sorts - this is what I have been told -

GEORGE HARDY - b. 1632 England son -
JOHN HARDY - b. 1663 Va. married to
REBECCA EBORN - b. NC to HENRY EBORN & ELIZABETH BARROWS

JOHN & REBECCA'S daughter
ELIZABETH HARDY b. 1675 died 1732 married 1693 Isle of Wight County, Virginia - Elizabeth married
WILLIAM CAIN who was born 1667, also said to have died 1732

I am going in circles trying to find some confirmation on these people and have had no success. I THINK that I am looking in Fishing Creek area and Bertie, Edgecombe area but again - am not certain. Perhaps you have run across this EBORN family in your searches?

Oh yes, a daughter of WILLIAM CAIN & ELIZABETH HARDY was born @ 1705 & died @ 1795.
SARA CAIN married JAMES BELL JR.@ 1725 and their daughter was named MARY BELL b.@ 1742.

If you can enlighten me at all or have any knowledge of these people I would be ever so grateful!!! Thank you much, Samantha
