Ralph, The name that has been past down to us as William W. Haney's wife is "Elizabeth Perroneau" of the South Carolina Perroneau's. I have not had the time to chase that down yet though. William W. Haney moved thru Jackson Co., Alabama where my gg grandfather Benjamin Robert Haney was born in 1829 and d. 7 Oct 1870 Swedeborg, Miller Co., MO (m. Theresa Matilda Luttrell b. 22 Jun 1833 in Jackson Co., AL). The Emanuel Haney land referenced on Spring Creek, McMinn Co., TN (next to Archibald R. Turk) is also next to land (see below) originally owned by my McDowell family (gggg grandfather John McDowell Sr. b. 1774 NC d. 1835 McMinn Co., TN). From McMINN COUNTY, TENNESSEE DEEDS AND OTHER DATA 1820 - 1880, Researched, Compiled, and Edited by Reba Bayless Boyer, 1986. On page 15: DEED BOOK D, entry number 85: "21 Oct 1835 Asbury Atkerson (Atkinson) to Archibald R. Turk; land on Spring Creek adjoining said Turk and formerly owned by John McDowell dec'd." These intermarried McMinn Co., TN McDowells, Haneys, Luttrells, (and Sheltons) moved into Missouri (Camden, Pulaski, Miller Co.) in the 1850's. R, Leo B. McDowell
