I really appreciate your post. I found the will of Jacob Gaar thus establishing the relationship between Jacob Gaar and Horace S Garr.
Apparently the Gar Genealogy is sufficient proof to establish lineage. The John and Andrew Gaar in my husband's line were the sons of Lorenz Gaar. John Adam Gaar was Lorenz's brother.
