Our great-uncle Robert Baldwin Ebert, brother Douglas Grant Ebert, and sister Geraldine Ebert(born 1910-20) are the children of Walter R. Ebert of Milwaukee. Robert was supposedly named after his grandfather Robert. I have just started looking into this line--I find a Robert B. Ebert working for Marshall and Isely Bank in Milwaukee. Family legend is that there was money from the lumber industry at one time. Let me know if you get any closer.
