Henry E.A.Ebert b. 1793 Bayern, Germany he was the first German settler of Mauch Chunk, Carbon Co., PA now known as Jim Thorpe.
He came some time before 1837 when he met and married Hannah Van Horn their first child was Thomas b. 1837, Augustus F. b. 1839 and Elizabeth b. 1846.

He had several children from a previous marriage in Germany they are Henry E. A. Jr. b. 1820, Emilia b. 1823, Charles M. b. 1822 and died 1906 in Mauch Chunk, Carbon Co., PA he was a Druggist by occupation; and Herman b. 1826 all born in Munchen,Bayern, Germany.
