Adam Reinhart Ebert was born on Dec. 23, 1851. He was very active in Hammond, IN, city government and was also an Indiana State Rep. He was my Great-Grandfather. His father was Reinhart Ebert...born in "Barthfeld", Germany, (Not sure of the spelling for the town). He married a Sophie Von Schmidt Hoffman...Adam was their son. On August 29, 1880, he in turn married Sophie Brunswick, I find it interesting that both Adam's mother and his wife were named Sophie. Adam & his wife had 8 children: Julius Moritz (my grandfather), Emilie, August, Adam, Jr., Bertha, Edwin Brunswick, Alwin, & Fredrick. I also ran across a "family Crest" but question its authenticity. This information is all from various notes by my father Julius Kuhlman Ebert. I'm unsure of some of the accuracy. I would appreciate any help/feedback that would update my search. thanx
