Hello, Am doing research on my husband's family, surname COLEMAN. We have that GREEN COLEMAN b- 1825 Ga. d- 1870, Tx. M/ HULDAH ANN CALDWELL, 1850, in Sumter Co. Ga. The Wood Co. Tx census of 1860 shows them there ( in the area around Yantis, Tx.) We recently visited a gravesite on a private farm where there was a headstone inscribed with G. W. COLEMAN ( with dates above). There was no stone for HULDA. We have children names of Green and Hulda as being, Mary J., Elizabeth, Robert F., Thomas J., Louis Wig,( this last being my husbands' grt. grandpa) We also know that Wig is buried at the Sharp Cemetery off Hwy 154 near Yantis. We believe that the G. W. Coleman tombstone is that of Green Coleman, but would like to have documented proof. All clues point to that conclusion. Would also like to know of anymore info about Huldah Ann and any of other children listed if anyone can help. Thank you for your attention, Pat Coleman Notify Administrator about this message?
