In 1897 E. Scott Brown of Simpson Co KY wrote a bio of his father William Allen Brown. William Brown's father was Allsey Brown and his mother Nancy Terrell Childress b. SC, whom he states was a sister to Bartholomew Childress b. SC d.AL and was sheriff of his county.
E.Scott Brown states that his grandmother Nancy Terrell Childress b. 17?? SC came to KY via foot from Georgia, and was living with Harry Collins in Allen then Warren Co KY before her marriage to Allsey Brown. Per this bio, Nancy Terrell Childress had a sister Elizabeth who married Willis Center.
I have been unable to find any postings on Worldconnect.com who shows Bartholomew with sisters Nancy T. and Elizabeth nor anyone who mentions their source of Bartholomew's parents as William and Nancy Ward Childress.
Any help would be appreciated. I am descended from Willis and Elizabeth Childress Center
