Yes I have posted on another web message board. However, this is a HUGE leap for me or any of the family. My father past away January 19th 2006, and to that date he NEVER spoke about his father-I knew it was painful for all the children and his mother, so we knew not to ask because NOONE wanted to talk about it. From what we have been told. He was brought up in Bucks County, PA with his older brother Jon Allen, and his youngest sister Janet Patricia Tanner (Ziegler) whom both my aunt and my father are deceased from Cancer. Their biological parents where: Florence M Kheiffer and Jon J Ziegler. Jons parents were Aetna Ziegler (Petchler) and Jack Ziegler. Aetna Ziegler (petchlers) father or family member was a Jon Petchler-whom was a Butcher/Surgeon? We were told that My Richards father-Jon J left my grandmom-who past more then 26 years ago due to Cancer and was remarried to Edwin Oldroyd whom was the nicest man, whom we knew as pop-pop. Well anyhow, we were told his dad Jon left my grandmother, Florence, for an italian woman,(Her first name was if we remember correctly begun with an A), and at that time resided in Deleware or that area.. and the had their own family and never talked to him again. We did find out after my Father past that he found his father resided in Florida at the same time he was as well. He made a phone call to this mans house and had a deathening silence and an abrupt never to call again. he tried to not let it show but if you knew my father it hurt him. I do know he at one time was a steel worker and made some homes and lived in them with his family.He as well collected train sets-which my father kept onto and now my sister and I have it. I was told Jon J left his one family when my dad was 13-if my dad was alive today he would be 63 on September 30th. I wasn't really close to my father either BUT he was around, I had an amazing grandpop we called "Captain" so we never questioned anything because he made up for any loss we had. I have been told my dad looked like his father-JON J, and I look alot like my dad, however my older daughter lookwise is his clone!I really don't want to cause trouble or bring on any heartache-i would just like to know a little about the family since sadly events have happened. I am afraid I am going to get yelled at even at 31 for asking questions-I was told to leave things alone-and maybe that is because i have a need to know as much as i can OR MORE so for my little precious daughters and nieces and nephew.
