Hester A. Ware, born February 9, 1798, died June 2, 1884. She is wife of Philip Ware (Wehr) in the next grave in South Colon Cemetery, Colon MI. She had 10 children, 7 sons and 3 daughters, 5 still alive in 1889, one still in Pennsylvania at that time. She is sometimes known as Ester or Hetty. In the St. Joseph County Michigan death record volume 1:page197, the cause of death is listed as old age, she was widowed, and her parents were named Gracely. She was listed as a widowed mother to an Elias Ware in the 1880 Colon Census. Maiden name could be Grassley.
