Sandra,I found a Peter STRUNK in the 1860 census, Mitchell County, Iowa age 39,wife Catharine,age 26, children: Frederick 10, Volwa 8(m.), Eldorado 1 (f.) In 1870 Rock twp. Mitchell County Iowa: Peter STRUNK age 47 wife "Alfreda" (should be Altheda)35, children Frederick 21, Volney 18, Elda 11(f), Emery TUBBS 16, Nellie TUBBS 7. This was obviously a second marriage, as it was for Altheda SEAGERS TUBBS STRUNK. In 1880 Peter Tubbs is a widower b. 1821 N.Y. age 59 in Moody, Dakota Territory living with his son Volney STRUNK. I believe Volney died in Iowa, but I did not copy that record. Hope you find some connection. The line I am searching is Emery TUBBS.
