There is no record so far as I know that shows Wells and Honor Pennington to be siblings. Wells is about twenty years the senior leading me to believe that they may have been half siblings. I doubt that Wells was ever Wellesley or Wells J. The only records I know of show that he was simply Wells. Honor Pennington married Daniel Strunk who was the brother of the wife of Wells Pennington. There is no proof that I know of that Wells was the son of William Pennington. It is possible, but I have not seen the proof. He may have been the grandson of Micajah through McCajah's son, Elijah, or he might have been a child of Ephraim. Until someone shows solid proof we do a great disservice by speculating in such a way that someone will come along and copy information as gospel.
