I'm just wondering....I very recently found out that my maternal grandmother's family came from Eye, Suffolk. They moved to Gravesend, Kent in the mid 1800s. I can't find any listing on the BT site for Thorndike - are you aware of any people of that name in the area? The Thorndikes were indeed related to Dame Sybil. Thanks for any help.
