Searching for information about Johannes Schmidt, born 21 September 1829 in Heimbach, County of Ziegenhain in Hesse-Cassel area. Emigrated in 1849 on ship Bessel with destination Upper-Canada. Relatives of him emigrated also to this area as well as other people from his homeplace area.
