Amos Jefferson Reeder was born about 1843 in Illinois. He married Margaret Bell. They had at least two children-- James H. Reeder (my great-grandfather) and Charity Ann Reeder. I am seeking the names of Amos' parents. According to family tradition Amos' mother was a full-blooded Cherokee. If anyone has further information about this family, I would love to hear from you!
