I research the family of John Peter of Wales and Amherst Co. VA. My data shows three sons, John, William and Richard Peter. My ancestor, Jonathan Peter (married Mary Ann Radcliff in Lincoln Co. KY & died in Harrison Co. IN) is shown by some to be the son of brother John above, and by others to be the son of brother Richard above. Can anyone help me find out for certain which brother was Jonathan's father, or to learn a good reason for believing it is one or the other? Jane Sarles
