My grandfather was Lee (or Leland) Gardner Peckham, b. Apr 15, 1891 in Fremont, Newaygo, MI. His father was Frederick J. Peckham, b. Sept. 16, 1868 in Casnovia, Muskegon, MI. And I believe that Frederick's father was Isaac Leland Peckham b. 1814 in New York. Isaac was married to Harriet Brown, daughter of Sila and Phineas Brown of New York and then Constantine, St. Joseph, MI. Somehow this family has to be connected to all the other Peckhams but I can't figure it out. In 1850, I find an Issac L. and Harriet living in Parma, Monroe, NY with their son, John, and a Stephen and Ruth Peckham. Perhaps they are Issac's parents, if it's the same Issac L. There is also a Louisa Peckham living there. By 1860 Issac and Harriet are in Newberg, Cass, Michigan. And later the family moved to Muskegon County. MI where my gr-grandfather, Frederick, was born. He was the youngest child. Issac died March 18, 1872 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The death was recorded in Muskegon County, MI, so I believe he was buried there. By 1880, Harriet is remarried with my gr-grandfather living with her in Casnovia, Muskegon, MI. If anyone can help connect this family to all the other Peckhams, I'd appreciate it.
