In case anyone is interested, I am constructing a web site for a specific Hunziker line at: http://hunzgen.homestead.com As the starting page states: "In 1863, Hans Rudolph Hunziker (48 years old) arrived from Gontenschwil, Switzerland with 5 children: Maria (Mary, b.1843, sp. Sam Mertz / Merz); Maria Anna (Annie, b.1844, sp. John Hediger / Hediker, sp. 2 Caemus Kalkbrenner); Rudolph (b.1846, sp. Mary Ann Krebs, b.1848, Bern); Elizabeth, (b.1850, sp. Joseph Schwartz / Schwarz); and, Adolph (b.1853). Hans Rudolph dies of pneumonia during the same year that the family arrives in the U.S., leaving 5 kids on their own. Somehow, the children wind up in Edwardsville, IL. This web site is dedicated to information regarding this family and related families."
