I descend from the Martin Ebert who died in Bangor, Ontario. However, I believe the Martin Ebert who was born in 1780 in York, Pennsylvania is not our ancestor. He (b. 1780) was supposedly married in Penn. in 1793 and died there in the 1850's. He (b.1780) had a first cousin named Martin Ebert who was born in 1783. I believe he is the probable ancestor. However, I have not been able to prove it. All we know is that Martin Ebert was born in the USA. I have never been able to find any document that states he was from Pennsylvania.
