Lewis Ebert (about 1800-1840) married Catharine Pott (25 Aug 1801- ), daughter of John Pott, the founder of Pottsville, PA, about 1818. They moved from Schuykill Co., Pa to Montgomery Co. , Ohio and lived there until Lewis drowned in Wheeling, W.Va. in March of 1840. I have been looking for the identification and origins of Lewis for 50 years. He may have come directly from Germany as a youth. I have information on many of his descendants. Anyone have anything else on Lewis?
