Hello, I am new to all of this, but I have quite a bit of information that a great aunt researched. I agree with you regarding the age of Conrad Sr. when he fought. Do we know when he was born for certain. Also, she lists here that Conrad Jr. had children...and some they were born after Conrad Sr. died. Please let me know what you think of all this...I have pleny more too. She did quite a bit of research. I have just never looked at it. I look forward to hearing from you! This is a bit of what she wrote: Conrad Blose came to PA from Ge. Rupps'"Thirty Thousand Names Of immigrants who came to the Province from the ship Francis and Elizabeth. He settled in Heidelberg Township Northampton Co now Washington township, Lehigh Co., PA As early as Oct 4 11749, he took out a warrant for 25 acres of land in Bucks County. Between the years1750 and 1766, he purchased the following tracts at carious times: Issneberg, Mannheirm, Berlin and Schawahenstadt, totaling 306 acres. This Conrad Blose was constable of Heidelberg in 1752. House stands near Best Station which is near Statesdale. On July 17, 1776, he enlisted in Captain Michael Kern's Company (3rd Co), First Battalion, Northampton Conty Militia. Conrad Blose was killed in the battle of Long Island..Penn Archives 5th Series Volume 8, page 26- Conrad (Blose) Muster Rollin the 1st Bat. of Associatore in the Co. of Northhampton adn Province of PA which is to be considered part of the Flying Camp of ten thousand men commanded by Col. Hart and in Capt. Nicholas Kern's Co., Aug 6th, 1776. His wife's name was Anna Magdalena _____? and they apparently were married after Conrad came to America. Pen Archives Aeries 6, Vol 6 Page 10 Eygpy Reform Church; Lehigh Co, 1734-1834. Their children were John George, Susanna, Eve Elizabeth, Daniel, Peter, Henry, Sonia AND CONRAD. Anna Magdalen died at the home of her son-in-law, Peter Seidel, in 1803 at the age of seveny-seven. The children of Conrad Jr. were Anna Maria 1791, Maria Barbara 1793, Jacob1794 and Conrad1796 |
