Thanks. I was able to obtain a copy of WIlliam Carrigan's will and recently gained admittance to SAR through James and Margaret Weir's daughter, Jane. I will keep my eyes open for any documentation linking James and Margaret to their son, James Adam Weir. On another note, have you had any luck tracking down the parents of James Wier (Margaret Carrigan's husband)? Is there a chance that he could be the son of Capt. John Weir of King's Mountain fame?
