My findings suggest that Mark Carrigan age 20-30 in 1840 Madison TN may be a son of John E. (Ephraim probably) Carrington and first wife Jenney Smith (married 29 Jan 1816) Orange NC.

John E. Carrington moved to Carroll TN c1825 with second wife Polly Ashley. He had 3 or 4 children born prior to 1820.

Mark Carrington was in Madison TN age 30-40 in 1840, in Madison TN 1850 (listed as Mark Carrington).
